Lanzarote is the most easterly of the seven major Canary Islands and lies in the Atlantic
Ocean only some 100 km (60 miles) from the coast of Africa and 1,000 km from the Iberian
Peninsula.
Lanzarote is of volcanic origin and literally covered in lava.
The six kilometre-long beaches of golden sands on shores of the Atlantic in Puerto del
Carmen are undoubtably the magnet which draw so many holidaymakers to the resort every year.
Costa Teguise: 15 minutes drive from Arrecife. North of Arrecife, Costa Teguise is
a purpose built resort and has fabulous golden beaches with excellent windsurfing
facilities at nearby Cucharas. The properties are usually on the outskirts of the
resort and of a high standard. There are many restaurants offering a huge variety
of international dishes. Just a few minutes drive away is an 18-hole championship
golf course.
Costa Teguise is a medium size man made resort. There are three beaches, a
pleasant main central beach with plenty of facilities and two other rather
more relexing ones.
If you are looking for sea, sand, relaxation and quality accommodation, Costa Teguise is
up there with the very best.
